Carmen Izurieta
Carmen is a senior executive with over 20 years experience gained across leadership roles in Not for Profit, Professional Membership Organisations, Peak Body and University sectors.
In particular, Carmen has deep experience in corporate governance having spent 13 years in various senior roles at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In 2017, Carmen Co-Founded the Global Governance Initiative, a governance advisory and consulting organisation which is focused on making governance information, education and tools accessible to all.
Carmen’s most recent roles include Chief Operating Officer at Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect), Australia's largest autism specific service provider with one of the biggest autism school programs in the world, Executive Director at Aged & Community Services Australia and General Manager Corporate Services Australian Dental Association. Carmen’s particular expertise is leading large multi disciplinary teams to deliver high performance. Carmen is also a member of the Catholic Care Diocese of Broken Bay Advisory Council.
