Raelene Edwards
Raelene joined the NWDS team in 1994. She came to NWDS after working as a nurse in hospitals across metropolitan Sydney, including some years working in a rehabilitation setting with people with acquired brain injury. Raelene also worked for another community organisation doing community shifts with children and adolescents with significant disabilities. Prior to moving to NWDS she worked in accommodation support with adults with high medical and behavioural support needs. Raelene has a strong belief in the importance of inclusion, skill development, empowerment of people with disabilities and has empathy with the sometimes difficult role and sacrifices of their families. She is strongly focused on continuous improvement and quality service delivery.
